WE know that there are probably a few questions you would like to ask us. Here are a few of the most common questions that we are asked and their answers.
Do you have non-smoking rooms?
Yes! The Morning Star B&B facility is entirely smoke-free. This includes all of
our guest rooms as well as all common areas.
Do you have high-speed wireless internet?
Yes, we offer it free of charge.
What time is check-in/check-out?
Check-in is between 4 - 8 p.m. and check-out is 11 a.m. We do our best to
accommodate requests for other arrangements, given adequate notice.
What time do you serve breakfast?
We serve breakfast between 7 - 9:30 a.m. At check-in, we ask guests what time they
would like their breakfast. To-go bags are available for guests who have to miss out
on our regular breakfast service. Please request this option when checking in.
Can you offer special breakfasts for guests with particular dietary restrictions?
Yes. Guests should notify us of special needs or preferences when reservations
are made.
What other services do you offer?
We are happy to arrange anything we can to make a guest’s stay more enjoyable or life easier. This includes scheduling massages, personal training, and spa treatments, making dinner reservations, arranging flower deliveries, etc. We can also make custom muffin/baked goods baskets, birthday cakes, etc. It is our job to assist our guests. If there is anything we can help you with, please ask.
Do you host weddings and receptions?
Yes, we specialize in intimate weddings. Click here to view our wedding packages. We are also happy to create a custom wedding package for you.
Do you host business retreats and other events?
The Morning Star is available for all-day business retreats. Around 12 people
is the comortable upper limit for meeting space.
How far in advance do I need to make reservations?
Special events (e.g. graduation, home football games) fill up very far in
advance. Otherwise, our guests typically make reservations a few weeks in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
We normally require seven days notice of cancellations but may require up to thirty
days notice for special events.
When are you open?
We are open year-round, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Where are you?
We are right in the heart of Manhattan, KANSAS. Although we love speaking to the people who call us from all over the world (literally), we are sorry to disappoint them by telling them we are not in New York City.

How far is it to Kansas State University?
We are about 13 blocks from K-State.
Where can I park?
Parking is available in the driveway on the front of the property, the street and
off the alley behind the property.
Can I watch television?
Absolutely! There is a large television in the living room exclusively for guest use.
Do you have gift certificates?
Yes! We offer gift certificates. You can purchase through the gift shop on our website.
